Cleaning the Sink

My sink is never really THAT dirty. My house might be destroyed but I have to have the dishes done and the sink wiped out. I first started doing this when I discovered FlyLady. If you have never heard of her, I highly recommend browsing through her website. Wow!!

I have organized under the kitchen sink but have not shown how I clean the actual sink itself. Here is the Before Shot. It looks shiny but is dirty!

I started by removing everything on and around the sink.


Then, I ran hot water over all the surfaces to get rid of any loose dirtiness and then sprayed it with good 'ol Windex. Hey... it shines EVERYTHING! (For deep-cleaning, I use Bon Ami Polishing Cleanser)


It looks much better but I wasn't done yet!



I keep an old toothbrush on hand to get into those hard-to-clean spots. I scrubbed both drains, garbage disposal liner and around the lip of the sink.
